The Aquaculture industry has performed strongly over the past five years. The industry is dominated by farming of Atlantic salmon in Scotland. Trout, mussels and other shellfish are also farmed, but an estimated 95.2% of industry revenue is generated from salmon farming. Industry performance is therefore highly dependent on trends in global salmon prices and supply conditions in other countries.
